Nazzy & Corey

JellyFish Restaurant – A boho chic destination beach wedding – Nazzy & Corey

Nazzy & Corey planned their celebration at a gorgeous venue, JellyFish restaurant in Punta Cana. Their love story begun when they were co-workers, kind of a tricky situation, but that didn’t stopped Corey from trying to win Nazzy’s heart in spite of her negatives at first. It was in one of Nazzy’s birthday that she received a bouquet of roses with a card that read: “to you from you know whom”. And she knew very well… she thanked his gesture by accepting to go to dinner with him and the rest is history.

He popped the question in Miami, a city that Nazzy’s consider her second home. Soon after, plans started and wheels were in motion for what it would become their dreamed destination wedding.

“When you find love, everything else seems to fall into place. I believe every girl begins planning her wedding as a child. You begin to picture the type of dress you will wear, the type of flowers that will be present, how the ceremony and reception will be decorated, the people that will be there, all celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. with everlasting love!” said Nazzy.

They fell in love with DR after their 3rd visit and she knew that was the place where she wanted to get married. She’ve always envisioned a beach wedding surrounded by their loved ones that mean the world to them.

Their wedding color’s included navy, blush, gold, and ivory. Very romantic yet soft and warming. Jellyfish was perfect and captured every thought and/or idea that crossed her mind. “They truly brought my vision to life. I am Ethiopian and my husband is African American, so we wanted to be sure to capture both cultures, traditions and ethnicities.” Said Nazzy about Jellyfish team work.

They wanted an intimate destination wedding that would allow them to share their special day with their close family and friends. This was not an easy task, as a destination wedding is far from a normal Ethiopian wedding. With thorough planning and execution, they were able to incorporate both cultures! ”We had one goal, to see everyone truly happy and enjoying themselves! We can confidently say…mission accomplished” ended Nazzy and us as their wedding photographers felt lucky being witnesses of all this!
