Intimate destination wedding at Kukua Beach club / Kiana & Bryner

Kiana & Bryner met in high school during their senior year and they became best friends before they started dating.

The couple stayed at Dreams Royal Beach but they decided to have their celebration off the resort.

GGG: Why did you choose an outside wedding venue for your special day?

Kiana: “I am an event planner as my 9-5 job so it was important for me to not have our wedding planning feel like work. That is one of the biggest reasons why we decided on Kukua because Mayte and Rachel made me feel so secure to take off my event planner hat and just enjoy being a client. It was very fun and I was always so excited for the wedding day during the planning process which was huge considering we live in New York. I also wanted our guests to have a little break by being able to leave off property for the wedding”

GGG: Let’s talk about your vision of your wedding celebration.

Kiana: “I like the clean, simple, minimalist looks and that’s the direction I wanted for our wedding theme. I wanted something timeless and classic and most importantly, I wanted the beautiful backdrop of DR to really shine so I didn’t want a theme that was big, loud, or had too many things going on. The main direction of our theme came from me wanting to look back at our wedding pictures 10, 20, 30 years from now and not cringing about them or saying “that style was so 2023.”

Kiana & Bryner were pretty easy to work with since our first contact. They are very vibrant souls and their smiles were everything during their special day. Their first look was a very emotional moment, they exchanged their vows in a private moment and it was a lovely idea.

Their party was a blast, even when they were a small group, they had an amazing party time which ended with them jumping into the pool. Isn’t it a cool idea?
