Greenery destination wedding at Dreams Onyx / Kim & Gordon

Kim and Gordon (Buddy) have been together for 4 years this past March. They got engaged in May 2021 and when Kim met Buddy, he was already a father so she was gaining a bonus daughter. Then they discussed having other children and Savannah came to complete the family. Now, they are ready for the next step in their relationship.

“Our wedding planning was pushed off for a bit. Buddy isn’t much of a people person and I am very outgoing and much of a people person. We definitely balance each-other out. He wanted something small and I have a lot of friends and family and wanted a wedding so we compromised and decided on a destination wedding” says Kim.

After discussing with their travel agent about different locations, they finally chose Punta Cana as their destination and Dreams Onyx as their wedding venue.

GGG: Why did you choose Dreams Onyx for your celebration?

Kim: “I knew I may have a few kids coming and wanted something for them to do. Dreams Onyx had a kid center and an awesome water park, so it was perfect for us”

GGG: What about your wedding planning?

Kim: “I looked on Pinterest and got a-lot of good ideas. I chose to do personalized welcome bags also brought pictures for my remembrance table and table setting. I also joined a FB site for brides and got a lot of great ideas and feedback. It wasn’t until maybe a month before arriving I finally spoke with my wedding coordinator and finalized everything”
