Paola & Algenis

Catholic Wedding Ceremony at Barcelo Palace Deluxe / Paola & Algenis

Paola & Algenis had a big Destination Wedding in Punta Cana. “Planning a wedding in the middle of Covid was a rollercoaster ride, with some great days where we almost forgot about the pandemic and other days where we had many doubts about having a destination wedding at all. At the end, we had some last-minute cancellations, but other than that we had the best time, and everyone was able to enjoy the wedding” says Paola with a big smile.

How was the proposal, Algenis?

Paola and I met through a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel.  We talked for a few weeks before finally deciding to meet up in person. Our first date was in Downtown Boston and that was it for me. I knew from the moment I laid my eyes on her that I had found my forever plus one and the love of my life.  We connected right away and after a month and a half we became official and inseparable. We started doing everything together and very early on, I knew that she was going to be my wife. I proposed eight months after we started dating at this beautiful and romantic place, Crane Castle, facing a beautiful beach where we had gone a few months before and fell in love with the place. She said “yes” and eighteen months later we had our destination wedding in Barcelo Bavaro Palace, where we said “yes, I do” to each other in front of eighty loved ones inside a beautiful chapel.

Why did you choose Barcelo Palace as your wedding venue?

For us, Punta Cana was truly the perfect spot as we were bringing together family and friends from different countries in South and North America. We choose Barcelo Palace as our venue, because we were having a religious wedding so, the resort has a beautiful chapel at an amazing location.

The resort was also a wonderful experience for all of us. They were always very attentive, and made us feel like we were at home. They, along with our wedding planner, Jenissfer, went above and beyond with all of our requests and she made everything happen. All the requests, all the details, and all the things that they allowed us to do even though it wasn’t permitted or allowed didn’t go unnoticed. We are extremely appreciative of all the rules that they allowed us to break in order for us to have our “soap opera” wedding. For all those reasons we will keep going back to this resort and relive our wonderful experience there” say the couple.

Thanks for choosing us as your wedding team, you are very easy people to work with…

“Well, our experience with GGG Photo was absolutely incredible. You really took the time to get to know us, understand us and what we wanted. Even though we were in different countries, GGG Photo always found the time to meet with us either through zoom or with phone calls/texts to go over wedding details.
During our wedding, GGG Photo were very punctual and ready to work. They also gave us the idea to do the “First Look” between just the bride and groom. This turned out to be an emotional and very memorable experience for us that was captured in pictures and video forever” says Paola.

“During the reception, we didn’t notice the cameras, we danced, laughed, had an amazing time and it is all captured in images. At the end of the night, they found a “dark room” and we had a mini session and OMG those pictures are just amazing” ended Algenis.
