Best Spots for your Wedding Photography at Dreams Punta Cana.

On your wedding planning, booking a wedding photographer is not an easy task. There are a lot of things to consider before you make your final decision, but the most important thing is that you have to be in love with a style of photography.

Most of our couples choose us because they really like our style, but we also know there are other facts to review before they put down a deposit. At this point, and with all the information we give our clients, we turned into something else than just their wedding photographers. Specially, when we are very familiar with the wedding venue like this case.

Dreams Punta Cana is one of the all inclusive in Punta Cana where we’ve shoot from our beginning in this business. We know this place extremely well, so we feel happy when future brides ask us for some advice about the resort and its locations.

We must confess that we have a predilection for the garden gazebo for the wedding ceremonies. Why? Because it is beautiful with or without decoration. It has a romantic touch, during summer (most of the year), it has plenty of shadow and one of the most important things to consider is that the gazebo area is 100% private, no outsiders in the back of the pictures.

If the option is a ceremony on the beach (there are two spots to choose from), the palms trees and the ocean are the perfect background for the wedding pictures. The only disadvantage will be that they have to share their space with other guests sunbathing on the beach, swimming on the water and just passing by on the background.

For the reception, the hotel offers three spots, all of them are terraces: Bourdeaux, Himitsu and Portofino. Our recommendation is always Portofino. Unlike the other places, Portofino have two areas for your party instead of one, a garden area with trees and flowers and a terrace where all the tables and dance floor could be. Also, bistro lights look amazing at this place turning it into something really beautiful. Just one thing to consider, is an outdoor venue, so if it rains, it’s probable that everything will get wet.

Himitsu terrace is on top of Portofino restaurant. When planning a reception at sunset, we will be able to get beautiful pictures from there, with the palm trees in the back. And also, is very spacious, so plenty space to set a dance floor.

Finally, the Bourdeaux terrace is the closest to the beach and the only one with a roof. During Summer, the place is quite hot, but from mid-September until February, it’s nice and breezy.

Marie & Erik got married in May. They hired us just two weeks before their wedding day, so we didn’t have time to let them know our recommendations about the timeline of the wedding day or the best spots for their celebration. Regardless of that, pictures turned out amazing.

Based on past experiences shooting at Dreams Punta Cana, all of our advices for wedding photography are thought for the best light for great pictures, we think that’s the key. We love to discuss with you every single detail of your wedding planning because your memories will be the most important thing after the day is over.
